Garfield Park Historic Fountains to Re-Open June 6

INDIANAPOLIS — The magnificent Garfield Park Historic Fountains will re-open on Saturday, June 6 at a ceremony and celebration at 4 p.m. There will be live music from the Circle City Sidewalk Stompers, food and fun for the whole family.
The Garfield Park Conservatory and Sunken Garden are located in Garfield Park on the city’s near southside. The area was designed by city planner and landscape architect George Kessler and built in 1916. The fountains underwent a $5.5 million restoration and renovation from 2024, and was part of a Lilly Endowment investment in the park.
Friends of Garfield Park, a non-profitm has started a capital campaign, Fountain Preservation Fund, to ensure the long-term maintenance of the fountains.
