INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is launching a new Driver Exchange Tool to improve roadside safety and save you time. If you’re involved in a minor vehicle crash with no injuries, you’ll now receive a Driver Exchange Link straight to your phone, instead of waiting for an officer.
This easy-to-use tool gives you everything you need to file an insurance claim. It keeps you moving and allows our officers to stay focused on higher-priority calls.
The Driver Exchange Tool offers immediate documentation and 24/7 online access at CrashDocs.org, where drivers can securely access and download their exchange at no cost.
So, what do you do if you’re involved in a minor, property-damage-only crash?
• Safely pull over to the side of the road or into a parking lot
• Call the non-emergency line at 317-327-3811
• Click the link sent to your phone by dispatch
• Follow the step-by-step instructions to exchange information with the other driver
• Get back on the road!
You can access your exchange 24/7 at CrashDocs.org at no cost.
