INDIANA — In Indiana only 3% of SNAP EBT cardholders are using the EBT card lock feature to help prevent the loss of SNAP benefits by card skimming, card cloning and other similar methods. SNAP benefit theft victimizes Hoosiers who rely on these benefits to feed their families and since the state cannot replace stolen SNAP benefits at this time EBT card users are strongly encouraged to use card lock to protect their benefits from unauthorized use.
SNAP EBT cardholders can lock and unlock their cards by following follow the steps below:
• Go to https://www.connectebt.com/inebtclient/
• Create an account if you do not have one, OR, log in with your user ID and Password
• Click on “Lock/Unlock” within the portal
• To lock your card, select “lock my card everywhere” then click SUBMIT
• To unlock your card, select “unlock my card” then click SUBMIT
