INDIANAPOLIS — Ground was broken at the new Wes Montgomery Park Basketball Pavilion. This project will honor an Indianapolis legend while enhancing quality of life in the neighborhood. The park is located at 3400 N. Hawthorn.
The pavilion will consist of two full-sized and two half-sized basketball courts topped by a shelter structure, the first of its kind in the Indy Parks System. With a roof overhead, the courts will be open no matter if the weather calls for Montgomery’s cover of ‘Sunny’ or his version of ‘Here’s that Rainy Day.’”
