INDIANAPOLIS — Film historian Eric Grayson will screen Duck Soup, the third of three Marx Brothers’ comedies to be shown at Garfield Park this winter. The 1933 farce will be the March Vintage Movie Night on March 29, at 7 p.m.
The film stars the four Marx Brothers and their frequent co-star, Margaret Dumont. It involves the countries of Freedonia and Sylvania, who go to war against one another. Grayson describes it as “the most insane version of war ever seen on the screen.” Plus, he will provide a reel of trailers of Marx Brothers films (some of which never made it to the movies they are promoting!).
