INDIANAPOLIS — The Bridges Townhomes at Sherman Park have opened. The $15.1 million project on the city’s Near Eastside will provide housing for lower income individuals and families.
The development has 43 units across seven buildings on 1.7 acres of the park, located along LaSalle Street between St. Clair and North streets.
Eleven units are designated as permanent housing for families who have experienced homelessness through the city’s care network. Some families from the nearby Wheeler Mission’s Center for Women and Children will be moving in.
Base rents for the two- and three-bedroom homes range from $1,000 to $1,260. They are for households earning between 60% and 80% of Marion County’s median income, which ranges from about $46,000 for an individual to $95,000 for a family of five.
