From The Indianapolis Sun, Sunday, March 9, 1913: If promises made by the city board of works are fulfilled, Indianapolis is to lose another of its scenic railways, loop the loops, dip the dips, and roller coasters combined. The street car company is required to keep the tracks in good shape, but at the end of each section of the line on East Tenth St there is a drop of several inches before the car strikes the next section. This drop keeps each car jumping along much after the manner of a scared rabbit. The organization of the Brookside Civic League with its expressed intention to fight for the improvement of street car lines on East Tenth St and Brookside has received a promise from the board that improvements will be made soon.
