LAWRENCE — Construction crews plan to place a new asphalt surface treatment on nearly 12 miles of US Highway 36/State Road 67/Pendleton Pike between Interstate 465 and Fortville in early June.
Contractors have started replacing curb ramps, and median curb removal and concrete pavement repairs will follow. In early June, contractors anticipate beginning roadway milling and paving. All resurfacing operations will take place between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Motorists should expect recurring overnight lane restrictions and drive cautiously through the area. One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction. All work on the contract is expected to be complete by October.
