From The Indianapolis News, Thursday, April 15, 1915: Indianapolis and vicinity was highly praised as the setting for motion picture dramas of the best sort by Virgil E. Burris, dramatic director of the Coburn Photo & Film Co, in announcing plans by the company in making the city a film drama center. “People asked why we located our company in Indianapolis. There is no more beautiful and interesting scenery in the world for our purposes than there is right here. There are hills near Indianapolis and there is an abundance of background of all kinds for our scenes,” said Mr. Burris. The Country Boy’s Triumph will be one of the first films issued by the company that will be known as the “Hoosier Movies.” The company is negotiating for a stage near Fairview Park.
