INDIANAPOLIS — The Near East Side Community Organization (NESCO) History and Preservation Committee will hold their 20th Pubcrawl on Oct. 25.
The Halloween Pubcrawl meets at Englewood Church (57 N. Rural) to sign in. (Costumes encouraged.) There will be a behind-the-scenes tour of the rehabbed Lucretia Mott School #3 (CommonWealth) gym and rooftop hockey rink beforehand. There will be three groups this year — two groups on buses and one group of cyclists.
The first bus group will leave at 4:20 and get back at 9:50; the second bus group will leave at 5:10 and get back at 10:20. The Cyclists group will leave 4:30.
The pubs that will be visited are New Yorker, McGinley’s Golden Ace Inn, Maggie’s Lounge, Butler Inn, and the Catalina Bar. Dinner for this special 20th Pubcrawl will be from Pogue’s Run Grocer.
The cost is $25 per person for bus groups, and $15 for cyclists (not including Event Brite registration fee). Visit www.eventbrite.com and search for “NESCO Halloween Pub Crawl.” Space is limited.
