MCHD Relocating Walk-In Services to New Location

INDIANAPOLIS — The Marion County Public Health Department announces the upcoming move of some popular walk-in services to its newly constructed Public Health Center located at 3810 Meadows Drive. Walk-in services for birth certificates, death certificates, immunization records and drop-off for the public health laboratory will permanently relocate to the new center.
As part of the move, regular operating hours for walk-in services for birth certificates and death certificates will be affected on Friday, Oct. 16.  Walk-in services for birth and death certificates open at the new MCPHD Public Health Center, 3810 Meadows Drive, with reduced hours of 1-5 p.m. (not open before 1 p.m.). Regular operating hours resume on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the new location.
Walk-in services for immunization records and public drop-off for the laboratory are also relocating to the new MCPHD Public Health Center beginning Monday, Oct. 19. Public drop-off services for the laboratory begin at the new MCPHD Public Health Center, 3810 Meadows Drive, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
A future announcement is planned for the move of Bell Flower Clinic, which will relocate from its current location at Eskenazi Health’s Fifth Third Office Building.
When fully completed, the Public Health Center will serve as the new front door to the Marion County Public Health Department with updated, open and inviting spaces. It will provide improved access to public health services for community members with custom-designed spaces that better support MCPHD’s work. A large multipurpose community room will be used for trainings, meetings and testing or vaccination clinics.
The building also includes a major expansion of MCPHD’s public health laboratory, creating additional space and upgrading its capabilities to provide testing during an emergency response.
