• On Saturday, June 6 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., there will be a pop-up clinic of the season. Vaccinations of dogs and/or cats will be only $5 per animal. The clinic will be at Frederick Douglass Park, 1616 E. 25th St. Dogs will receive the rabies and DAPP vaccine and cats will receive the rabies and FVRCP vaccine. Dogs must be on a short, fixed leash and cats must be in a secure, hard-case carrier. Pets must be at least 6 weeks old to be eligible for services. Clinics are first-come, first-served.
• There will be a Community Block Party at the Eiteljorg, 500 W. Washington St. from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday June 5, when admission will be FREE or pay what you can. Enjoy live music under The Sails, a DJ spinning between sets and performances by local student groups. Play classic lawn games, and order tasty food options from Museum Café, open for extended hours with a cash bar outside. Go inside for a tour of the galleries, and at 5:30 p.m., watch the short animated film Things You Know But Cannot Explain, about contemporary artist Rick Bartow (Wiyot, 1946-2016), a 2001 Eiteljorg Fellow.
• The City of Indianapolis will host an information session about the old Women’s Prison reuse on Tuesday, June 16 at 6 p.m. at the Spades Park Library, 1801 Nowland Ave. There will not be a Q & A, so e-mail questions to dmdengagement@indy,gov and register for the in-person session at https://tally.so/r/XxzLLe
• The Franklin Township Historical Society will have two different fundraiser sales, in different locations and on different dates.On Saturday, June 6 there will be a sale of furniture and other items in the garage immediately south of the Society’s historic 1871 Meeting House (park at 6510 S. Franklin Rd). Then a week later the Society’s popular “Antiques & Rummage Sale” will be held as usual at the Franklin Township Civic League, 8822 Southeastern Ave, on Friday June 12 (from 8 to 6) and on Saturday June 13 (from 8 to 2).
• IndyGo will begin its transition to MyKey new cards and apps as of July 1. Passes will no longer be sold online, at the Care Center Desk or at ticket vending machines. Visit indygo.net for more information about the new system.
• Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 13 at 7 p.m. as the Friends of Irving Circle begin their 2026 concert series with Audio Diner. This is a beloved tradition every summer, where everyone gathers at the South Circle, 5703 University Ave. and listens to great music under the trees. Concessions will be sold, and proceeds go to maintain the fountain and grounds. The circle will be closed to traffic.
• Swing by the Factory Arts District, 1125 Brookside Ave., on Saturday, June 6 at 9 a.m. for a monthly gathering of old car enthusiasts around coffee and donuts. Lots of great old vehicles to admire!
