Trinity Lutheran Church began offering services at the original location on the northeast corner of Ohio and East Streets in downtown Indianapolis in 1875. Trinity Lutheran School had begun holding classes three years earlier in 1872. The current location on East 16th St. was erected as the new school building in 1958 (it’s 3rd location) and the church sanctuary was added and opened in 1973. At that time the original church building was sold and demolished.
Trinity has a proud and honored past of serving the eastside of Indianapolis all these years and has an extensive list of past and current members of the church and graduates of the school.
