INDIANAPOLIS — The “Under One Roof” campaign of Midwest Food Bank Indiana introduces a pivotal $9 million initiative for a new 50,000-square-foot warehouse that aims to streamline operations, optimize logistics, and maximize their impact on food insecurity in the state. With just another $500,000 donated, Midwest will make this dream a reality.
Their current operational challenge is disparate warehousing spaces hinder efficiency and escalate costs. This strategic consolidation into one central hub will address this by significantly reducing overhead, allowing us to allocate more resources directly to food provision rather than administration. Midwest has experienced explosive growth in the last decade. $27 million in food was distributed in 2014. In 2019, it was $40 million. This year, they are on track to distribute more than $74 million in food.
Lilly Endowment Inc. is matching the next $500,000 raised through this campaign with a challenge gift. Visit https://midwestfoodbank.org/locations/indianapolis-in/donate-indiana and select Under One Roof-Capital Campaign to donate to this important cause.
