INDIANAPOLIS — Arsenal Technical High School senior, Trey Lyles was recently named a McDonald’s All-American. Lyles is only the second Indianapolis Public Schools player in history to be named to the McDonald’s All-American team. The first was Tech student, and Indiana University standout, Landon Turner.
Each year only 24 players from around the United States are selected to be on the McDonald’s All-American teams. Lyles will be on the West team. The McDonald’s All-American games will be held on April 2, 2014 at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. For more information and tickets visit www.mcdonaldsallamerican.com.
Lyles is considered among the best high school power forwards in the country, and will play at the University of Kentucky in the fall.
Lyles has led a resurgence in the Tech basketball program and is among the frontrunners for the coveted Indiana Mr. Basketball award that is announced in the spring.
