LAWRENCE — The Barton Rogers Big Band will be featured in an evening of big-band music, swing dancing, and dinner at the historic Fort Harrison State Park Inn on Saturday, November 9. The event is co-hosted by Fort Harrison State Park, Fort Harrison State Park Inn, the Indianapolis Symphonic Band, and the Museum of 20th Century Warfare.
The dinner-dance will be held in the main lodge of the Fort Harrison State Park Inn. The doors open at 5 p.m, with a cash bar available before the meal. Dinner for the dance is a four-course meal. Dinner will be served from 6 to 8 p.m., with the band performing from 8 to 10 p.m. Patrons are encouraged to dress in WWII era men’s and women’s fashion or semi-formal.
The cost for the dinner-dance is $30 a person, $55 a couple. Reservations are strongly recommended, but tickets may be purchased at the door. The Fort Harrison State Park Inn is located at 5830 N.
