INDIANAPOLIS — The Milk Bank has opened The Milk Shoppe Baby Café, Indiana’s first support group licensed by Baby Café USA. The bimonthly group provides pregnant and breastfeeding mothers a friendly and comfortable environment to learn more about breastfeeding.
Baby Café USA is a national network of free breastfeeding drop-ins, combining the experience of skilled practitioners and mothers to offer invaluable support to parents at all stages of breastfeeding in a professional but non-clinical, café-style environment.
The Milk Shoppe launched in September at two Indianapolis area locations. Groups meet on the first and third Mondays from 1-3 p.m. at Englewood Christian Church (57 N. Rural St.) and on the second and fourth Mondays from 10 a.m-12 p.m. at The Haverstick (9111 Haverstick Road). A grand opening celebration will be held at The Haverstick on December 9 at 10 a.m. and at Englewood Christian Church on December 16 at 1 p.m.
