IRVINGTON — If you have interesting photos of your ancestral home, long-gone businesses, interesting people, and other historic images, please bring them to the Bona Thompson Memorial Center, 5350 University Ave., for the Indiana Album Scan-a-Thon on June 8 from 1-4 p.m.
Postcards, photos, and documents of all eras (up to the present) of Indiana houses, farms, businesses, schools,, churches, bands, organizations, transportation, and people are welcome. The Indiana Album is bringing collective history to the Web through the photos.
Indiana Album’s volunteers will make high resolution scans while the lenders wait. Later, the scans and catalog records will be uploaded to www.indianaalbum.com. All documents will be carefully handled and immediately returned to the owners.
Make a reservation at info@indianaalbum.com or call 317-771-4129 or just come talk to a volunteer at the event.
