INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis Animal Care Services (IACS) has prepared a different kind of March Madness bracket. Running through March 31, IACS will be hosting an animal adoption special.
The two-week long event will feature four teams made up of adoptable cats and dogs. Teams will be announced on IACS’ Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts starting at 7 p.m. Throughout the event, if a team member is adopted, a substitute will jump in. The team with the most adoptions at the end of the competition wins.
Adoption fees for all animals selected for a team will be waived. Adoptions include microchip, spay/neuter, vaccinations, and heartworm testing.
The shelter is located at 2600 S. Harding St. Hours are Sunday-Tuesday and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. The shelter is closed on Wednesday.
