From The Indianapolis Star, Saturday, January 25, 1919: Indianapolis Boy Scout troops will hold their annual indoor track meet at Tomlinson Hall tonight and a large entry in readiness assures keen competition at the starting gun. In addition to the track meet, several special events, including twenty and forty-yard dashes, running high jump, and a four-man relay race, will drive away any dull moments. Scouts will be divided into two groups, Class 1 under 15 years of age; Class 2 older Scouts. Each troop will be allowed to enter a Scout in each event in both classes. A victory pennant will be awarded to the troop winning in each class. The program features a tumbling act which will be put on by one of the troops and the climax of the evening’s events will be the district tug of war.
