The motorized ambulance can go anywhere possible, but it shakes its precious, piteously wounded freight literally to death. These pillows not only save suffering; they save life. The committee’s new headquarters at 38 Monument Place is easily accessible to those wishing to donate clean remnants and volunteers wishing to make these comfort pillows. “Those in sympathy with this work appreciate the fact that the money they give goes for material for work or for supplies. Practically no money contributed has been used for running expenses, all that has been donated,” says Miss Caroline Marmon committee head.
