Vintage Indiana Wine Fest returns to Military Park June 5

INDIANAPOLIS — The 21st Vintage Indiana Wine Festival O returns to Downtown Indianapolis’ Military Park on Saturday, June 5. The signature event of the Purdue Wine Grape Team — is Indiana’s biggest celebration of wines produced in the Hoosier state.
Attendance for the 2021 festival is capped at 5,000 by the health department, and all mask and social distancing event protocols in effect in Marion County will be observed. All ticket sales are on-line and in advance at VintageIndiana.com — tickets will not be sold at the gates on the day of the festival. Prices are $60 for VIP tickets, $40 for general admission and $20 for designated driver. The popular JW Marriott Hotel package featuring an overnight stay and a pair of general admission tickets also is offered again this year. Each ticket purchased carries a nominal EventBrite service fee.
The festival is an exclusive 21+ event; everyone will be asked to present ID for entry into the park. Gates open at 10 am for VIP entry, with wine tasting beginning at 11. VIP entry gates will be located on the northwest corner of Military Park at New York & Blackford Streets.
General admission gates open at 12 noon along the West Street side of the park. The event runs until 6 p.m.
An anticipated two dozen Indiana wineries will be on site, sampling wines and selling bottles for take-home. Food trucks will offer a wide-ranging menu of delicious cuisine for purchase, and artisan vendors will be at the park with a variety of handmade crafts and wares.
All purchases of wine, food, soft drinks, and artisan offerings will be via debit or credit card — no cash will be accepted at any location within Military Park. As always, designated drivers will quench their thirst with unlimited free Pepsi products throughout the day, and can purchase bottles of wine to take home.
