Indy Art & Seek Offers 100 Artworks in Public Places

INDIANAPOLIS — Keep Indianapolis Beautiful and the Arts Council of Indianapolis have teamed up with 72 local artists for Indy Art & Seek, a project that has put 107 pieces of art on temporary display all over the city. Artworks include murals, performance, literary pieces, and  smaller pieces that take some hunting to find.
To participate in Indy Art & Seek, downloa the Otocast app on a smartphone and search for “Indy Art & Seek.”
Some of the east side pieces include “Building Beauty Together” at Sherman and 16th, in the fence near FIDO headquarters; “The Posy” carving in Little Flower that reflects the neighborhood’s diverse heritage; “When Hate is Loud, Love Must be Louder,” a wooden mandala near Bosart and 10th St. reminding everyone that love, kindness and compassion are the key to moving forward; and “Atlas Flower” on the side of the Shi-Kay Lounge at 16th and Emerson that seem like a mural of calla lilies until the viewer gets closer.
Information about the artists and the work are found on the app and by visiting kibi.org/indy-art-and-seek.
