INDIANAPOLIS — Film historian Eric Grayson will screen the 1940 film, Laddie, with Tim Holt, Virginia Carroll, and Peter Cushing, at the Garfield Park Arts Center on Sat., Dec. 1, at 7 p.m.
According to Grayson, Laddie is a rarely seen film based on the novel by famed Indiana author and conservationist Gene Stratton-Porter. In the film, a young girl helps her brother win the heart of a neighboring young woman, despite the wishes of a meddling father. What secret does the father’s mysterious lost son hold? All will be revealed at the film, with a $5 admission price and $1 concessions.
As always, Grayson will show a short feature before the main attraction, give brief introductory remarks, offer a Q&A afterwards, and show real film on real projectors.
