Rare Documentary to be Shown at Garfield Park Nov. 4

INDIANAPOLIS — Film historian Eric Grayson will screen the rare 1927 documentary about World War One, America Goes Over, at Garfield Park Arts Center on Sat., Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.
The film, sold by Eastman Kodak to such groups as churches and veterans’ groups, was endorsed by General John J. Pershing, leader of the American forces in the war.
Grayson describes the film as “spectacular, one-of-a-kind footage.” The original 1927 print will have live commentary by Grayson and by historian Glory-June Greiff.
