IMPD Sergeant Honored as Crime Stoppers Coordinator of the Year

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Sergeant Steve Dubois was awarded Crime Stoppers USA Coordinator of the Year Service Award in recognition of his outstanding performance and commitment, personifying a spirit of community cooperation and demonstrating qualities of leadership.
Sgt. Dubois was selected from many submissions from across the country and recognized at the 2017 Crime Stoppers USA National Training Conference held in September of this year. This prestigious honor exemplifies the dedication Sgt. Dubois has demonstrated to build a viable, legitimate and reliable platform that provides the region with options for reporting crimes anonymously.
Sergeant Steve Dubois is Sergeant with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department currently assigned as the Director and Coordinator of the local effort of Crime Stoppers. Sgt. Dubois is a 31 year veteran of the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has been assigned to Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana since 2010.
In 2016 Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana collected over 7,000 tips, which contributed to nearly 300 felony arrests, $61,000 recovered, 7 homicide arrest, 131 illicit drug arrests and 15 sex offender arrests.
