Call-a-Pacer Library Program Begins

INDIANAPOLIS — Children and families are invited to hear their favorite Dr. Seuss stories read by members of the Indiana Pacers from April through June on The Indianapolis Public Library’s 24-hour Call-a-Story telephone line.
By dialing 317-275-4444 or toll-free 877-275-9007, listeners will hear recorded stories from Pacers players who demonstrate their love of reading as a way to encourage young ones to “read like a pro.”
The 2017 “Call-a-Pacer” schedule includes:
• Week of April 3 – Myles Turner reads “Mr. Cow Can Moo! Can You?”
• April 10 – Jeff Teague reads “In a People House”
• April 17 – Rodney Stuckey reads “Oh, the Places You’ll Go!”
• April 24 – Lavoy Allen reads “Ten Apples Up on Top!”
• May 1 – Paul George reads “I Am Not Going to Get Up Today!”
• May 8 – Glenn Robinson II reads “What Pet Should I Get?”
• May 15 – C.J. Miles reads “Fox is Socks”
• May 22 – Thad Youg reads “Hop on Pop!”
• May 30 – Aaron Brooks reads “Dr. Seuss’s ABC”
• June 5 – Mark Boyle reads “Oh Say Can You Say?”
• June 12 – George Niang reads “Marvin K. Mooney Will You Please Go Now!”
• June 19 – Nate McMillan reads “I Wish I Had Duck Feet”
In 2016, “Call-a-Pacer” generated 81,175 calls during its 12-week run.
