INDIANAPOLIS — McNamara Florist, an Indianapolis florist established in 1954, has acquired a 176,000 square foot industrial property on 7.3 acres at 1853 Ludlow Ave. on the near east side of Indianapolis. The facility will become the florist’s new corporate headquarters after undergoing extensive renovations. They are expected to occupy the site in the first half of 2016. The company headquarters currently occupies 58,000 square feet of leased space in Fishers. McNamara currently employs 120 people and the company will be relocating 70 of those positions to this facility.
McNamara President and CEO Toomie Farris, AAF, AIFD, has been with the company since 1980. “We are excited and proud to move back into the heart of Indianapolis, as well as contribute to the revitalization of the near eastside,” Farris said. “The City of Indianapolis has been supportive in our efforts to bring this project to fruition. The building has been vacant for several years so renovation and occupancy will bring stability and stimulus to the area.”
The new Indianapolis location offers a more central point of distribution with easy interstate access and will be ideal for McNamara’s daily city-wide delivery service and support to local event venues.
