INDIANAPOLIS — Veterans in recovery perform their first-ever theatrical production in this collaborative effort by Q Artistry with Dr. Sally Wasmuth and Roudebush VA Health Services Research and Development.
Altered is written by Q Artistry’s Artistic Director Ben Asaykwee, and features local actor Lauren Briggeman alongside seven US Military Veterans. The actors weave their way through four stories that reimagine Greek myth and shine a light on man’s relationship to material possessions, ambition, and each other.
This project was funded by the Indiana Institute for Medical Research and Indiana University School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Department of Occupational Therapy Veterans’ Wellness Fund. It was created to explore creative expression as a part of the path to recovery.
This special presentation runs August 8 and 9, at Q Artistry, 5515 E Washington St, Tickets are available for no cost at brownpapertickets.com.
