LAWRENCE — The Friends of Fort Harrison State Park is hosting an accelerated Indiana Master Naturalist Class June 23 – 27 at Fort Harrison State Park. The workshop is designed for teachers, environment educators, and others who cannot attend a typical eight-week long course.
Cost for the class is $85 for the general public or $80 for members of the Friends of Fort Harrison. Registration is limited to the first 30 applicants; the deadline for registration is end-of-business on Saturday, June 14. Space for the class is reserved on a first-come first-served basis when the class fee has been paid.
There are 9 different sessions on natural history for this Accelerated IMN class. Each session begins at 9 a.m. and ends 4 p.m. Registrants should be dress to be outdoors and supply their own lunch. To graduate from the Indiana Master Naturalist program, participants must attend 8 of the 9 classes and complete 30 hours of volunteer service time to any natural resource organization.
