INDIANAPOLIS — On Saturday, May 17, 2014, Indianapolis Public Schools Office of Multicultural Education and the Indianapolis Education Association will host the 28th Annual Multicultural Festival at Lafayette Square, 3919 Lafayette Road.
The event starts at 10:00 a.m. and will bring together IPS students and staff, IEA members and the community. This event is free and open to the public.
Student performances, artwork and projects will highlight the festival and its theme, “Celebrating and Honoring Cultural Diversity.” Schools, cultural organizations and community agencies will have exhibit tables and bulletin boards demonstrating how cultural competency impacts academic achievement.
