INDIANAPOLIS — Common Ground at Faith, located across from Warren Central High School on East 16th Street, is creating a permanent “one-stop” community resource hub that brings together Old Bethel & Partners Food Pantry, Indy Urban Acres, MSD Warren Township Schools, Jane Pauley Community Health, Gennesaret Free Clinic, Indy Hunger Network, and other partners under one roof. The organization is currently in the middle of a $2.5 million phased renovation campaign to transform the campus into a permanent Eastside community services center at 9031 E 16th St.
Rather than treating hunger, healthcare access, education, and transportation as separate issues, Common Ground at Faith is intentionally bringing together a coordinated system of care designed around how families actually experience hardship.
The need in Warren Township reflects the same affordability pressures highlighted nationally:
• Nearly 48% of Warren Township residents are either living in poverty or below the ALICE threshold — meaning they are working but still unable to afford basic necessities.
• 70% of MSD Warren Township’s 12,000+ students qualify for free or reduced-price meals.
• Some Warren Township census tracts rank among the bottom 10% in Central Indiana for major health outcomes.
More info on the organization is available at CommonGroundAtFaith.org.
