INDIANAPOLIS — To help keep everyone safe and moving smoothly on busy weekends, IMPD is launching designated rideshare pick-up and drop-off locations in downtown Indy every Friday and Saturday night from 11 p.m. – 4 a.m.
These zones were created in partnership with Uber and Lyft to make it easier for drivers and passengers to connect — especially since S. Meridian Street is typically closed on weekend nights between Georgia St. and South St. for public safety. The locations are:
• Meridian St. near Chesapeake St.
• South St. just west of Meridian St.
Each area will feature clear signage to help guide riders and drivers.
Do NOT stop in the middle of the street for pick-ups or drop-offs. Use the marked rideshare zones to help keep traffic flowing and ensure everyone’s safety. Uber and Lyft apps will automatically direct drivers and riders to these designated locations.
