INDIANAPOLIS — Eskenazi Health’s East 38th St. campus is shaping up according to plan, and officials have begun the selection process of artwork from Indiana artists through partners 60 on Center and GANGANG. Many of the artists have east side connections.
In addition, officials with Eskenazi have been guiding hard hat tours for community leaders on the east side. Participants include representatives of the City-County Council, as well as leaders from community-based organizations serving the area.
The Eskenazi Health East 38th Street site has a farming strip along Pogue’s Run and is adjacent to a new trail that has a larger area for growing than The Sky Farm, the rooftop garden on the Eskenazi Health downtown campus. It also includes a pear and apple tree orchard. Construction also involves enhancements to Pogue’s Run through overgrowth clearing, added landscaping, drainage area clean-up, repairs to public walks and repairs along the drainway.
