INDIANA — Beginning January 2027, HIP members ages 19–64 who are not exempt will be required to complete 80 hours each month through work, part-time education, job training, or community service.
To help HIP members determine whether they may be subject to or exempt from the upcoming requirements, FSSA has launched the HIP Work Requirements Pre-Screening Tool, available at myfssa.in.gov in the “Am I Eligible to Receive Benefits?” section of the FSSA Benefits Portal.
The tool asks individuals to provide information about:
• Applicable exemptions
• Health-related factors
• Work activities
• Income
After submitting their information, users can immediately see whether they may be required to meet HIP Work Requirements. All information is anonymous and never stored or shared; it is used only to generate screening results for that session.
