INDIANAPOLIS — Between Aug. 21-25, IMPD’s Criminal Interdiction Section competed in the K9 Olympics that was held in Denver, Indiana. The K9 Olympics consists of over 10 narcotics detection events in which K9 teams from all over the United States and around the world, including Brazil and South Korea, took part.
The IMPD teams just missed out on first place by 7 points but took home 3rd place in the overall competition.
The IMPD Interdiction Section Team consisted of:
• Detective Brian Thorla with K9 Mina who also placed 2nd in Warehouse Detection, 2nd in Vehicle Interiors, 3rd place in Vehicle Exteriors.
• Detective Stephanie Humerickhouse with K9 Jada who also placed 3rd overall in vehicle interiors.
• Detective Miguel Roa with K9 Felipe
