INDIANAPOLIS — The Spirit & Place Festival is an 11-day festival of events independently created and hosted by the community and supported by the Spirit & Place organization. The 2022 festival will be held November 3-13. This year’s theme is “Identify” and will feature 29 events and five art exhibitions expressing how and why we identify who we are. Events are held in various venues throughout the city.
Spirit & Place provides a yearly theme to anchor events and provides staff support to help event creators think about audience, collaborative possibilities, event design, and promotions. Together, through creative collaborations, we leverage our strengths to unite Central Indiana residents through the power of the arts, humanities, and religion.
This year, there are many events that are offered as virtual experiences as well as in-person events. Most events are free; many require reservations.
Annually, the festival brings together 100+ cultural organizations, congregations, artists, and other community partners.
