INDIANAPOLIS — On Sat., Nov. 23 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tibetan Buddhist Monks from Drepung Gomang Monastery in India will be visiting All Souls Unitarian Church, 5805 East 56th St. They will present workshops on the art of butter sculpture and sand painting. Workshops include a short talk on the tradition of the various crafts, as well as step-by-step demonstrations of how to do each craft. The Monks will facilitate “hands on” participation by the attendees, adults and children, and will work with them to create their own work. There will be opportunities for children to participate, coloring pictures and learning about Buddhist symbols and culture.
