FORTVILLE — Partners for Animal Welfare Society is hosting the 3rd Annual P.A.W.S. Howl-O-Ween Party and Trick or Treat Trail for kids and K9s on Oct. 26 from 4 to 9 p.m. at Piney Acres Farm, 1115 E 1000 N, Fortville. This event will be a safe, fun Halloween experience for kids of all ages and for pets. The Trick or Treat Trail is outside and will be open from 4 to 9 p.m. with five stops. Each stop will have live costumed actors and one stop will feature miniature horses. There will be treats for kids and for dogs at each stop.
The costume contests will start at 6 p.m. with four separate categories: Best Children’s Costume (12 and under) at 6 p.m.; Best Costumed Adult (13 years old and up) at 7 p.m.; Best Costumed Pet and Best Costumed Pet and Human Team at 8 p.m. Medals will be awarded to the top three winners in each category.
Admission for the Trick or Treat Trail is $7.75 for adults and $4.25 per child and includes a hay ride. Mini horse cart rides and the Costume Contests is $2 each. Proceeds from these events go to the P.A.W.S. Homeless Pets Veterinary Care Fund for homeless pets.
