IRVINGTON — The annual Irvington Farmer’s Market will open the season from noon-3 p.m. on Sunday, June 13 at Ellenberger Park, 5301 E. St. Clair. As we go to press, details about this year’s market are being finalized.
The Irvington Garden Club began the Farmer’s Market in Ellenberger Park in 2000, and it has grown from just a few vendors selling produce and handcrafted items to having 100 vendors. The market carefully selects vendors with local roots offering fresh produce, cheese, meats, baked goods, and much more.
Chef Alan at Stone Soup Farm recently announced he will be attending the market with a wide variety of canned items, including handcrafted salsas, dilled green beans, and sauces. Other vendors are expected to return to the large market.
The market last year encouraged social distancing and required masks to shop. This year, they will follow the CDC guidelines and local mandates to ensure a safe shopping experience.
Visitors are encouraged to be respectful of neighbors around Ellenberger Park and to not park in front of driveways.
