LAWRENCE — The Sharing Place Food Pantry is one of the busiest places in Lawrence Township. Those in need flock to the Sharing Place not only for food, but other assistance, including clothing. About half of the visitors to the Sharing Place visit the clothing area to pick out one outfit per child in their family. They are running low on clothing.
If you are beginning to do your spring cleaning and have clothes to donate, the Sharing Place needs gently used clothing for children 3-12 years old, especially girl’s clothing. E-mail them at TheSharingPlace@Lutheranfamily.org for more information.
The Sharing Place is located at the Lawrence Education and Community Center, 6501 Sunnyside Rd. and is staffed by volunteers. They serve individuals living below the poverty line in zip codes 46218, 46216, 46219, 46220, 46226, 46235, 46236, 46250, and 46256. Clients are eligible to receive free food once a month, and require proof of residency at every visit.
