Over the River and Through the Woods is a warm-hearted, boisterously funny and touching story about intergenerational relationships, deep familial love, and the inevitable little heartbreaks that occur as time passes and children grow.
Nick joins his beloved, but annoying, grandparents for their traditional Sunday dinner to tell them the job he’s been waiting for — marketing executive — would take him across the country. The news doesn’t sit so well. Thus begins a series of schemes to keep Nick around. The four grandparents do their level best, and that includes bringing to dinner a lovely — and single — lady as bait.

The cast of Epilogue Players production of Over The River And Through The Woods rehearse a scene where grandma Aida (Arlene Haskin, center) can’t understand why grandson Nick (Nicholas Heskett, left) is upset over her insistence that their vegetarian dinner guest Caitlin (Erynne Sutton) try the veal. He’s also upset that his four grandparents are trying to set him up with Caitlin to keep him from moving away.
