INDIANAPOLIS — On Saturday, Oct. 5, the Office of Public Health and Safety (OPHS) violence prevention partner Violence Free Living will host a kickball fundraiser at Little Flower Catholic Church. Funds raised will support the organization’s proven classroom-based violence reduction program that is focused on intervention for incarcerated individuals, probationers, parolees, and at-risk members of the community. Games begin at 8 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. Little Flower Church is located at 1401 N. Bosart Ave.
Residents have put together teams of 10-12 coworkers, friends, or family and participate in this first-ever kickball tournament fundraiser for Violence Free Living. Those not interested in kickball can still support the organization with $2-per-game corn hole games, or by cheering on the teams as a spectator at no cost. The Sun King Brewing-sponsored event will also feature food from local Indianapolis vendors.
