INDIANAPOLIS — The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program helps train people to be better prepared to respond to emergency situations in their communities. When emergencies happen, CERT members can give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistance to victims, and organize spontaneous volunteers at a disaster site. CERT members can also help with non-emergency projects that help improve the safety of the community. The next classes will be held March 23-25 at Emergency Management offices, 201 N. Shadeland Ave. This is a 21 hour course and you must attend all classes to receive certification.
Class is restricted to 30 people – please make sure that you receive an e-mail confirmation as classes tend to fill up quickly. The e-mail will contain the location of the training and additional instructions. You can expect to receive an e-mail if you are confirmed two to three weeks prior to the course.
