INDIANAPOLIS — The Mass Ave industrial corridor is getting a new name and a new look. The area just northeast of downtown, which has been mainly industrial, is being renamed “North Mass.”
The long-vacant building located at 1417 Commerce Ave recently got a facelift with a mural of the Indianapolis flag. This building will serve as space for micro-manufacturers. Best Chocolate in Town is the first official tenant of the building, adding an industrial kitchen to supplement their Mass Ave storefront building. LISC contributed over $300,000 in grants, loans, and staffing support to make 1417 Commerce revitalization possible.
