INDIANAPOLIS — Choose your own adventure on September 15 and discover how smart street design, local leadership, and community action make streets safer for everyone. Join the Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (IMPO) for a lunchtime conversation, an evening walking tour, or both.
• Lunch and Learn (11:30 a.m -1 p.m.) There will be an online conversation with author and transportation expert Wes Marshall to discuss street safety and explore what really makes community streets safer.
• Optional Bus to Tour (4 p.m.) Take the #19 route to Arsenal Park as a small group.
• Walking Tour (5 – 6 p.m.) Tour the 46th Street and Monon Trail community project and hear from the neighbors who created the project and City staff about the community-powered infrastructure program. Spaces are limited.
