INDIANAPOLIS — As Indianapolis students get ready to head back to school, Westminster Neighborhood Services is ensuring they have the resources they need.
On July 25, Westminster will open its doors at 2325 E. New York St. for the annual Back to School Bash — a free community celebration that provides hundreds of Near Eastside families with school supplies, backpacks, and a warm send-off into the new school year. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and requires no registration, no ID, and no cost. Students must be present to receive items.
There will be family activities and haircuts available on site.
This year’s event is made possible through support from CareSource, Teachers’ Treasures, and the neighbors, businesses, and faith communities who have donated supplies, contributed financially, and volunteered their time in the weeks leading up to the event.
