Community Health Network Expands Stem Cell Transplants in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS — Community Health Network celebrated the expansion of its Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy Institute. A ribbon cutting ceremony marked the opening of a new treatment site at Community Health Network MD Anderson Cancer Center North, increasing access to advanced care for patients with certain cancers and blood disorders.
The new site located at 7979 North Shadeland Ave. complements Community Health Network’s existing stem cell and cellular therapy services in Kokomo, bringing specialized treatment closer to patients in the Indianapolis metropolitan area while supporting coordination of care across the network.
Stem cell and cellular therapies are used in the treatment of certain cancers and blood disorders, including conditions that may require bone marrow or stem cell transplantation. These therapies help restore healthy blood-forming cells and support the immune system following intensive treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation.
