INDIANA — New information from the Indiana Secretary of State’s Office shows that only 2,150 vehicle history reports were requested between July 2025 and February 2026.
The reports are part of a program launched by Secretary of State Diego Morales that allows residents to obtain vehicle history information — typically sold online for $25 to $30 for a single report — at no cost. Hoosiers can request up to five free reports per year through the state’s Access Indiana system.
Each report includes information such as a summary of vehicle ownership, collision or damage history, title flags, odometer rollbacks or discrepancies, repossession records, outstanding manufacture recalls, any service visits or known repairs and the AutoCheck Score. The reports can be found at Access Indiana online at https://access.in.gov/
