Two of the offerings from the 2025 Indy Fringe Festival will be available again at the end of this week. See “13 Ways to Screw Up Your College Interview,” presented by Carmel Indiana’s University High School. This lively play has two college recruiters interviewing high school seniors to fill the last spot available at the school. 13 hilarious interviewees stump and startle the recruiters with demonstrations of excess energy, ennui, and lies, aplenty. At the Athenaeum Basile Theatre at 12:20 p.m. on August 23rd, and 8:00 p.m. on August 24th.
Casey Ross will present her one-person play, “Burning Mom.” Melanie is a “funny woman,” a late-night comedy writer who gets a call from her grandmother just before she starts her show. After learning that her mother has died, her delivery of humor is affected; she removes and replaces a pencil in her hair, writing her lines and trying to be funny at an unfunny time. At the District Cabaret at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 24th.
To order tickets for any show, visit indyfringe.org. Many shows are $20 general admission.
